Addressing Challenging Behavior: An in depth look at antecedent and consequence strategies

Challenging behaviors occur with students, whether they are in general education or special education settings.  When such behaviors occur, it disrupts learning and the routine/ schedule and there is can be a risk of harm to one’s self or others.  This session will address how to manage such behaviors by identifying and implementing the appropriate antecedent and consequence strategies.

Alison currently serves as a Director of Professional Services for Rethink Ed. She has over 8 years of experience working with and supporting children with a variety of abilities and needs in the public schools and in-home, doing ABA therapy. Alison has a passion for advocating for children and their families to ensure they obtain the proper services.
